Meeting Jett was like bad luck. Dangerous. Unpredictable. And better avoided. In his game, the stakes are high. But are they worth the risk?

Brooke Stewart, a realtor in New York, finds forgetting is hard, but forgiving is harder. When the man she trusted, betrayed her, the only way to forget is to move on. Brooke is determined to start a new life, until she meets him again: the green-eyed, sexy as sin, six foot two sex god. The man who played dirty. The man who played her.

Sexy, rich, and arrogant Jett Mayfield knows he has made mistakes. He could have any other woman, and yet it’s Brooke he wants. When second chances collide with secrets and Brooke is threatened by the past, Jett is determined to protect her. She accepts his help unwillingly because she needs him but she wants to play his game on her own terms. And she has no intention to forgive or let him back into her bed.

When the man she is supposed to hate is the one she should trust, will he conquer her…or lose her forever?

A woman who can’t forgive.
A man who has made mistakes.
Two lives that are about to cross again and more secrets laid bare.

What a thrilling sequel! After the heartbreaking ending of Surrender Your Love, I had to dive into the next book in the series to see how things turned out for Brooke and Jett. Trust was broken and the characters had to work on that to rebuild the relationship again and it's not easy.

What I liked was how hard Jett had to work to get back into Brooke's good books. There is no way that their chemistry could disappear, but she kept the distance between them. However, no matter how hard she tried, her mind had control of that traitorous body for a change!! Lol! It would only be a matter of time before Jett was able to get back into her life (and her bed).

I already liked Jett a lot in the first book, but seeing how much he cares for Brooke and he proved his worth and revealed secrets from his past so we could understand him that little bit more. And he is a true romantic! My god, some of the places he took Brooke to had me swooning..... What can I say, except that I loved it..... Mind you, he has wicked fingers too and knows his way around a woman's body! He is not only rich and a perfect gentleman, but knows his way around a kitchen, what woman doesn’t love that?!?!

Brooke's new life is a great aspect in this story as we travel back to Italy so that she can settle things. The plot had me on the edge of my seat as I never knew what was going to happen. I was jumping at shadows along with Brooke and the car ride had me gripping the couch, just to hold on. It is very intense in places, and I loved every second of it.

I really love JC's writing as she has me so engrossed with the book I find it so hard to put down! The world building is fabulous and I feel that I am like a fly on the wall seeing the world exactly how she described it. The ending was fantastic, and I'm glad things turned out the way they did. The story is far from over and I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out in the next book.

I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.
