They say nothing compares to your first kiss,
But our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience.
Our second kiss…that one was REAL.
He cradled my face like he was terrified he’d f*ck it up.
He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed.
Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs,
He inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate,
And he'd never get another piece.
A nip of his teeth, his hand at my waist...
And I was lost.
I forgot he was paying me to be his fake fiancée.
I forgot we weren’t REAL.
Our kiss was pure magic, and before you laugh and say those kinds of kisses don’t exist…
Then you’ve never touched lips with Max Kent, the hottest quarterback in college history.

Get ready for breathtaking kisses, dreamy football players, a heroine who yearns for the guy she can't have, and a hero who will do anything for the girl he loves...

I always enjoy reading about fake relationships, so it's not a surprise that I enjoyed this one. But what I also loved was the deeper connection that these two had, which lead to their off the charts chemistry! They were such a great couple to read about and despite being from different world's, they both had lived through terrible loss.

Sunny had been through a lot of pain and suffering, but had found her feet once again and looked like she was doing well for herself. When her car was hit by a girl leaving the house across the street, she confronted Max about it, and I could feel the shift in the air between them. Sunny didn't hold back, and I enjoyed seeing her put Max under pressure, but she didn't expect him to be so understanding and helpful.

Max's story was revealed over time, and it was sad to see what he had been through. I loved that he was goal orientated, and wanted his own success, his own way. He proposed the fake relationship to begin with, but things escalated out of control due to the pressure he was under.

Max and Sunny had amazing chemistry and it was only a matter of time before they took the next step. Even though their fake relationship was supposed to be just that, they genuinely cared for one another and never wanted to hurt the other person. It was sweet to see Max come to the rescue a number of times, and relied on Sunny to help he through some difficult times.

Ilsa Madden-Mills is an author I've come to enjoy. She creates strong passionate alpha males, in the new adult genre, that make my heart pitter-patter! The passion built over time and I felt I was right there with Max and Sunny, experiencing everything that they were. I hope to come back to this worlD some day as there were some secondary characters that I'd like to see more of... Even Sunny's grandmother, Mimi, was a hoot!

Ahhh... the first kiss as a fake couple! I loved that Max had to build it up for Sunny! These two were fun together!

I swallowed. “You ready?”
“You already asked me that,” she said a bit breathless.
Oh. Yeah.
Without moving away from her, I pressed the button for the sixth floor.
I leaned down and kissed her. She tasted like honey and sugar, and I wanted more
