Fling by Jana Aston ~ Review & Swoon Thursday (@JanaAston)

You know I love a good romantic comedy, so there is no way I was passing on this little novella that Jana Aston just released! This world is so fun and I love the humour that Jana entwines throughout her stories!

I have a crush on my boss’ best friend.
At least it’s not my brother’s best friend.
Or my best friend’s brother.
Or… never mind. It’s all pretty cliche.

And worse? My boss’ best friend is his business partner. Which sort of makes him my boss too. Okay - it’s not sort of. It’s definite. Gabe Laurent is off limits. Totally off limits.

Which is fine. I make do with my imagination. He’ll never know. Ever. Unless my work bestie passes me an eighties-style teen movie sex quiz during a meeting and I fill it out.

And it ends up in Gabe’s hands…

Ahhh... Jana Aston! I love your sizzling and entertaining reads! Ever since Everly muddled with Sandra and Gabe in Right, I've wanted to know what happened after they left the New Years party! Now that I've finished Fling, I want more of Sandra and Gabe! That little taste was not enough, I want more Gabe, dammit!

In Right, Sandra was Sawyer's assistant and Gabe was his best friend. I saw the connection that they had, but now I was able to experience what happened! It began with a sex quiz that grabbed Gabe's attention, and he NEEDED to get closer to Sandra. There was a definite attraction there, and he pursued the shy and sexy assistant. These two were fun to watch!! Gabe knew what he wanted, and after a little push from a meddling Everly, he left a satisfied Sandra spread across her sheets! It was hot, sexy and intense, which left him wanting more!

Jana Aston has a writing style that I enjoy, with the sassy remarks, the smexy scenes and possessive alpha male heroes that I come to love. Fling was a quick read but like every novella, you are left wanting more. I would've liked to get to know Sandra and Gabe a little more and to see their relationship develop into something more. But if you're looking for a fun, sexy read, don't pass this one up!

*** Swoon Thursday was first bought to us by YA Bound. Since they are no longer with us, and with permission from Trisha Wolfe, I have decided that those of us that love to swoon need a central meet up point.  So here it is ladies! I have a link up for everyone at the bottom of the post you can add your swoons to, and I’ll set it up every week! So tell all other swooners out there to come on over, link up so we can visit each other! ***

Two swoons today. Some of Gabe's sweet thoughts, then some of his gentlemanly actions!

I want to take her to dinner, somewhere nice, and maybe a show. I should woo her, take her to New York City for the weekend. Pull out all the stops and convince her to give me a chance. Because I want to be with Sandra. I fucking like Sandra. And I’m a goddamned idiot for thinking a fling with her would be enough.

“Why are you here?” I blurt out. Smooth, Sandra. But I need to hear the words.
“I heard you were here.”
“You came for me?”
“Is that okay?” He cocks an eyebrow when he says it, all confidence that my answer will be yes.
“Yeah.” I finally grin. “It is.”

Jana Aston works a really boring day job. Really. Boring. In her spare time she loves to read sexy romance novels, especially if they involve an alpha CEO. Wrong is her first novel.
