Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.

His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.

On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.

I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.

There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.

What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.

I enjoy reading romantic comedies, and Meghan Quinn seems to be one of my go-to authors when I'm looking for a humour filled read, and she has delivered once again with her latest release, Stroked!

Paisley had sunk to a career low and her friend Jonathan set her up with a job being an assistant to Bellini, a reality tv star and glorified cow! I'm telling you, that woman came straight from hell; she's rude, mean and only cares for herself. But there is also Reese, the gorgeous swimmer, at the end of his career and focused on finally winning a gold medal at the next Olympics.

I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Paisley and Reese, especially when Paisley kept doing things that were embarrassing! When they were together it was nice to see how easily they interacted and to see both of them open up to one another. It was great to see Reese focused and determined to succeed, but he was unsure of what he was going to do after it was over. Paisley was trying to build her career again and was focused on doing so, but each time she was with Reese, she realised there was something happening between them and tried to fight against it.

There's a third perspective in Stroked, and that's from Bellini. She's a character I didn't care for at all. She made me want to bang my head on the table every time I heard from her. She was so self absorbed, opinionated and emotionally draining. And what she thinks of her dog... WTF?

Overall, I enjoyed Stroked. I liked how laid back and enjoyable it was to be with Paisley and Reese. Both characters grew a lot throughout their journey together. They had good friends and developed new friendships a long the way. I liked both Reese and Paisley's perspectives, Bellini's not so much. I continuing to enjoy Quinn's writing, and how she tied a few other characters together, so I look forward to coming back to this world... soon, I hope!

This was a funny moment between Paisley and Reese, she seems to do awkward things when she's backed into a corner!!

“Did you just . . . flick me between the eyes?”
Fuck.
A small part of me wishes he imagined the whole thing, but I’m just not that lucky, never have been.
My hands twist in my lap, my armpits are soaking up every last drop of anti-perspirant I coated them with this morning. I know I have to answer him, but I don’t know what to say. Just say something, anything to cut the tension that continues to build between us.
I bite the corner of my lip and giggle – an obnoxious giggle I don’t even like. “Oh, do you not like to be flicked in the head?” I grab my notepad and pen, quickly writing a note in it while talking out loud. “Note to self, Reese King doesn’t like to be flicked in the head, but does enjoy banana granola pancakes.”

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
