Pain can leave even the strongest of people weak and hollow. But when fate brings two weak souls together, will the love they find mend the fragments that are barely holding them together, or will the weight of their past finally cause them to crumble?

Max DeLucca has spent seven years trying to forget the betrayal of his past. He lives his life from day to day never looking forward and never looking back. The walls around his heart keep anyone from getting too close and prevent him from feeling too much…until he meets her.

Her entire life, Janie Silver searched for the kind of love that wouldn’t leave her broken and more importantly, wouldn't leave her behind. She longs for a love that can heal the wounds of her past and give her the future she knows she deserves. She thought she was looking for something that just didn’t exist…until she meets him.

Danny’s on Main is where their story begins. A neighborhood bar where strangers become friends, friends become family and some … become lovers… it all started on Thursday Nights

I picked up this little beauty from Amazon when it was free, and I am so glad I did! Thursday Nights was a fun read, which is mainly focused on two characters with troubled pasts. They need to bare it all to one another if they are able to find true happiness in their lives.

Janie had a bit of a lonely childhood as she was abandoned by her siblings and left in the care of her mother, who didn’t really want her. She never felt like she had anyone until she found her best friend Lyla. They have had a ritual in the last few months of going to Danny’s on Main, a local bar and now they have friends that treat them like family. It was nice to see what the girls had built for themselves; better lives than what they started out with and they are still on the lookout for their HEA. I learnt quickly how hurt Janie was growing up and the hurdles she has had to overcome, but she is now focused on what she wants and is willing to put herself out there to get it. Janie and Lyla rely on each other for support as they haven’t had anyone else to turn to until now.

Max has had his share of heartbreak, by a girl he believed was the one. She constantly took his heart and jumped on it, but every time he was willing to welcome her back. The more I learnt about this relationship made me understand why he finds it hard to let people into his heart.

There was no doubting the chemistry between Janie and Max; it was sizzling from the start. Neither of them wanted to deal with feelings and relationship issues, so each time progress was made, something would happen to separate them again. I was a bit frustrated with this a little, but by the time I got to the end of the book I understood why. Max is such a fragile person and has to deal with the issues in his own way, and how he did it was sweet and romantic.

I think the author did a beautiful job of weaving this story together. We met some fantastic secondary characters who I hope to see in their own books. The world building was great and it was easy to immerse myself into this book. I am keen to get my hands on the next book, as the epilogue in Thursday Nights left it open for the sequel!
